Meet the Board:
Deborah Riordan, President
Deb is a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran's Mom, mother of 3 sons and has 6 grandchildren. She is retired from positions as a health policy analyst and business manager for her family business. She serves as Co-chair of our annual Star Spangled Ball Fundraiser and is on the planning committees for both the Central Valley Veterans' Stand Down and the Central Valley Women's Stand Up. She also serves on several other veteran community organization committees in the Fresno/Clovis area. Her hobbies include reading, traveling and spending time with family. Her motto is that we owe it to the service members that did not return to help those that did.

John Schuler, 1st Vice President, Founding Board Member
John is a retired U.S. Army veteran. John is well known in the “Veteran Community” for his dedication to helping veterans. He founded Central Valley Veterans in 2010. John was instrumental in the development of the “Stand Down” in Fresno which began in 1989. He serves as Chairman of the Central Valley Veterans Stand Down and supports seven other Stand Down events throughout the Valley. John and his wife Cheri are looking forward to utilizing their new camp trailer. He serves as chairman of our annual Warriors Day on the Lake event for disabled veterans.

Chelsea McCliment, Secretary
Chelsea is the daughter and granddaughter of U.S. Navy Veterans. In Chelsea’s spare time she enjoys paddle boarding, trying new places to eat, and hanging out with her two boys, Aiden and Hank. Chelsea serves as Secretary of the Board. Chelsea serves on the board because “after volunteering at the Stand Down for many years I could see the difference CVV made in the veteran community and being able to help local veterans who have been over looked by the system is the least that I can do to give back.” |
Leann Torrey, 2nd Vice President
Leann is a US Marine Corp Veterans wife and US Navy Veterans daughter. She is the mother of 4 grown Children and 5 grandchildren. For many years she has occupied her time by volunteering for CVV stand down. She is a life member of the VFW post 5057 Aux. where she has held many officers positions. She is also a 4-H leader for McKinley 4-H where she teaches food and nutrition, sewing and cake decorating. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them the importance of honoring our Veterans.
